As I have mentioned in the past, Bicycle NSW runs Ride Leader training
courses and the easiest way to introduce them for BUGs here may be to
adopt the NSW programme.

Ride Leader Training Courses
Following the success of the 2007 Ride Leader Training Course held on 5
May, Bicycle NSW will be planning more courses for 2007. The aim of the
Ride Leader Training course is to increase levels of knowledge and skill
in leading recreational rides. By increasing the level of knowledge and
skill among a greater number of Ride Leaders, Bicycle NSW - consistent
with our Mission - seeks to encourage more members of our community to
enjoy the benefits of cycling through:
Better organised rides - more satisfaction for participants
Better planned rides - improved levels of safety for participants
Better conducted rides - reduced levels of risk for participants and
organisers
The courses are provided free of charge to Bicycle NSW members and
includes morning and afternoon tea and lunch. Assessment includes both
practical and theory on the day and some pre-course work.
To register your interest in the course, please contact Donna Little on
email dlittle@... or phone 9218 5411.
