Everyone please consider attending a Ride of Silence in your area tomorrow at
7:00 PM.
(arrive early) In the greater Detroit Metro area, Rides are scheduled in Ann
Arbor, Detroit
and Livonia-Dearborn. Please check the Ride of Silence website for details on
each of
these locations and all other locations in MI.
Ride to remember those that can longer ride with us, Ride to remember those
who've been
injured, Ride to help make the road safer for all cyclists in MI, the USA and
globally.
As of tonight, Rides of Silence are scheduled in 262 cities worldwide, in 8
countries, on 5
continents. This may very well be the largest sporting event in history, both
logistically
and in number of participants. (though more resembles a funeral procession)
All most all Rides will take place at 7:00 PM in their time zone, with a few
exceptions (such
as the Rides in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney AU, which will ride on Sat. the
20, as at 7:
00 PM in their corner of the world it's still dark, and to make it earlier may
not have
allowed emough cyclists to attend, so the Dallas R of S board approved the
change for the
safety of the riders, and to bring greater media visibility to their Rides).
Together, we can make a difference......
