I found out this weekend that someone I know had a bike stolen at Stony Creek
recently. He had set it against the wall between the bathrooms at the boat
launch parking lot, and went in to use the men’s room. When he came out a few
minutes later, the bike was gone. It appears that someone was casing the area
waiting for such an opportunity. This is a word to the wise to keep your
equipment in sight or locked up at all times, we are especially vulnerable in
the early season when there are few people around. Thieves are everywhere.
