Cycling Community,
June 8th and June 22nd, The Velodrome At Bloomer Park, in conjunction with the
Oakland County Sheriffs Department, and the Rochester Hills Parks and Forestry
Department, are putting on a Bicycle Rodeo for a few local Boy Scout Troops, in
the side parking lots at Bloomer park.
They will be learning some rules of the road, maneuvering some obstacle courses
and many will get the chance to try the velodrome.
We need a few volunteers to help out with registration, directing scout to
different stations, getting them set up to ride the track. We would also like
to have a few people who could be part of a very short track demonstration
showing a little racing.
If you don't want to give up a day of riding, you can ride before because this
will not start till about 10:30 or 11:00 a.m. and anticipate it to be done by
about 3:00.
For those who didn't get to help build the track, this is your chance to help
out with what the track was built for.
The 8th right now is the most important that we need a few people. If you can
please let me know A.S.A.P., and I will fill you in with more details.
