RE: [velodrome] Velodrome Status and New Project

Hello All!
I just want to put it out there. I now have it on my list, as soon as I return
to the states I'll be mailing out my $50 check to the foundation. I, as a
traveling gypsy bike racer who makes very little steady money will find it more
than worth my while to give this back! If at all feasible I encourage you all to
contribute. This velodrome and the program surrounding it have given me so much
and continue to be more then 100% supportive as I advance my career in cycling.
We are all fighting for the dream...keep it rolling!
All the best,
kacey manderfield

Subject: [velodrome] Velodrome Status and New Project

A meeting was held on Monday, March 23, regarding the status of the

International Velodrome at Bloomer Park (IVBP). All normal operations were

discussed, deemed on track, and we are ready for season #8.

In addition to the status quo there are two new exciting efforts underway:

one is to have the track lights installed and operational by June and the

second is to raise money to bring European pro racers here to compete.

By having International pro racers competing at our track, we will:

1.) Place our track on the cutting edge of US track racing

2.) Increase our exposure in the media

3.) Afford opportunities for our young riders to experience true European

competition

4.) Give us world media exposure enhancing our efforts to secure a sponsor

To seed this all important effort, I have contributed $500 to the

Community Foundation of Greater Rochester ? Velodrome Fund/European Fund.

Join me in assisting the IVBP get to the next level. A $50 (655 velodrome

email list members x $50) contribution from everyone on this email list

will do the trick!

Mille grazie,

Leonardo
