It does exist... and it's getting more popular right here in Singapore!
Also known as Octopush, underwater hockey is an underwater sport that can be enjoyed by both male & female, young & old together. It is a non-contact sport that combines swimming, snorkeling and team sports into one.
Our youngest player is an eleven-year-old and he's getting right in there with the rest of us!
People from all walks of life (swimmers, scuba divers, guys and gals looking for a workout, people looking to have fun) have tried this game and have become addicted to it instantly.
Underwater Hockey is NOT an extreme sport, but it is definitely an "alternative" sport compared to the "regular" soccer, basketball and badminton games. Imagine a game in 3-dimensions, where you have to be aware of the action not only in-front, behind, to the left and right of you... but above and below you as well!
So come on, give it a try!
Join us at the Queenstown Swimming Complex every Tuesdays & Fridays 7:30 P.M.
