1. Time Trial #1 - Everyone WELCOME. Do NOT need to compete in
every race of the series.

Early Extension: It seems Bikereg had a major hardware failure
during routine maintenance - Early Registration will be extended
till Wed at noon.

Event Limit 300 Riders


No USAT license required. No USCF license required. No one day
license required! No chip/Transponders required. This event
sanctioned & insured by the American Bicycle Racing Association.


Cost: $25 for individual riders ($30 Standard beginning noon the
Tuesday before the event), $30 for tandems, $20 for juniors ($25
Standard beginning noon the Tuesday before the event). $35 for race
day - $30 for juniors (NO credit cards) . Plus $3 ABR insurance
fee. Event runs rain or shine.

Start: The event starts promptly at 8:30 am. An air horn at the
start line will announce the beginning of the event. Riders start
every 30 seconds.

Registration: Number pickup ends at 7:45 am.


TT start times will be posted online by 7:00pm the night before the
race at www.georgiacup.com

Awards: Custom GC medals for each category – see below (see Rules
and Guidelines for more details).

The Courses: All courses are typical Georgia terrain. Rolling with
small to moderate hills. Courses are approximately 25 kilometers
(see race flier).

Juniors: Juniors are 10 – 15 kilometers (see race flier).

Results: The results are announced as quickly as possible after the
last rider completes the event at registration

Series Points: Points are awarded for top 10 finishers in each
category. See Rules & Guidelines on www.georgiacup.com.

Categories: Open Male, Open Female, Age Groups Male & Female, Novice
Male & Female, Clydesdale (Men 200 lbs+), Athena (Women 150 lbs+),
Juniors, Tandem, Single Speed.

Age Groups (Male & Female): 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.

Juniors (Male & Female): <14, 15-16, 17-18.

TT Start times will begin with Juniors, Age Groups,
Clydesdale/Athena and last to start will be the Open Category
(Female then Male). Race day registration will be last.




2. Greenville Spring Training Series! The Georgia Cup supports
this long standing event. Only 1 1/2 hours away from Atlanta it is
well worth the trip. Race with the best! Enjoy downtown
Greenville. Enjoy the thrills of a very well run race with LARGE
fields.

3. Georgia Cup RV - Portable Timing Station

registration, stage the events and most importantly where all the
timing/results will be done.

4. Georgia Cup CUSTOM AWARDS
2009 the Georgia Cup will give custom awards for each event,
including the GCTT, Time Trials, Crits, RR & Overall. Series
winners will receive custom GC Trophy as well as GC Jersey!

9.7 Custom GC medals for weekend will be awarded in the following
manner per category; 3 deep = >6 finishers, 2 deep = 3 - 6 finishers
& 1 gold medal = <3 finishers Ex. If you are racing in the M45-49
and 3 finish the event there will be only 1 gold medal given out. If
you are racing in the M50-54 and 7 finish there will be Gold,
Silver, and Bronze awarded.
