Just a reminder that our all day workout is still scheduled for Saturday
November 5th. The schedule for that day is as follows.
Workout 1: 10:10am to 11:30am (Upper Gym)
Break 1: 11:30am to 12:30pm
Workout 2: 12:30pm to 2:30pm (Upper Gym)
Break 2: 2:30pm to 3:30pm
Workout 3: 3:30pm to 5:00pm (Dance Studio)
For those of you out there who have never been to an all day workout, it is a
lot of fun, but you have to plan for certain things. I would recommend that
you bring lunch. There is an hour long break scheduled between workouts,
however, you will be hard pressed to find enough time to buy lunch outside of
the athletic centre and be back in time for the next workout. Also, you might
want to bring Advil or some other type of pain reliever (you never know).
Also, if you sweat a lot, you may want to bring two karate do gis for a
change. Eat a good breakfast. You cannot train properly on an empty stomach.
With three workouts that day this is an excellent opportunity for UTKC
newcomers to train and further your skills. The knowledge you pick up at an All
Day Workout can surpass what you pick up at several regular classes. Don't miss
this incredible opportunity!
And of course after the All Day Workout we'll be going out for a big group
dinner at Pho Hung Vietnamese restaurant located on 200 Bloor St. West. We
have a reservation for 6:00p.m. After a solid day of karate training you're
going to be hungry! What better way to refuel than over a delicious dinner with
your fellow karate-ka? Cap off the day with some excellent company, great food,
and conversation.
