Hey everyone!!!
Summer camp is this weekend!!! Hope you are all excited!!! I've compiled a list here of the things that you will want to bring with you. Make sure you double, triple and quadruple check against it as you prepare for camp.
Things to bring:
- as many gi's as you can carry
- coat hangers to hang up your gi's for drying
- comfortable running shoes
- at least one set of workout clothes (t-shirt and shorts) in case we decide to run a workout not in karate gi's.
- sunglasses and hat, also in case training takes place outside under the bright hot sun.
- some gloves to work the raspberry bushes with.
- swim suits (if you fancy swimming in the pond to cool off)
- toothpaste, toothbrush, personal hygiene items, etc
- towel(s)
- tensor bandages if you think you're going to need them and/or sports tape
- sleeping bag/blanket, pillow
- tent (for those who want to camp outside)
- alarm clock
- water bottle (EXTRA IMPORTANT!!!)
- insect repellent
- sunscreen
- aspirins/tylenol/advil - or whatever works for you
- flashlight
- any tournament and/or karate-related video tapes
- games/cards/books - fun things to do during the spare times.
- an expectation of loads and loads of fun (EVEN MORE EXTRA IMPORTANT!!!)
Not sure if we're going to be sharing Hart House Farm with other people this year, but just be cautious with your valuables and belongings. If you are going to be bringing anything expensive (ie: camera), be careful not to let it lying around.
Also we will be doing the annual farm work project during the break before dinner. Everyone is expected to pitch in. We will be pulling weeds from the berry bushes so please bring a pair of work gloves.
See you all there! :D
