Butte College Women's Volleyball and Pleasant Valley High School
Girl's Volleyball are proud to announce that they will be co-hosting
another Gold Medal Squared Coaching Clinic this summer! The dates
for this year's session are June 13-15. Last year's clinic was very
successful with 45 participants from around the region, state, and
country in attendance. Once again, the venue will be at Butte
College.

The Gold Medal Squared Coaching Clinics are directed by Carl McGown
(Head Coach: BYU, NCAA Champions 1999 and 2001), Doug Beal (Current
Head Coach: USA Men's National Team, Gold Medal 1984 Olympics) and
Marv Dunphy (Head Coach: USA Men's National Team, Gold Medal 1988
Olympics. Current Head Coach: Pepperdine University, NCAA
Champions '78, '85, and '92). These coaches rank among the finest
volleyball coaches in the world. They are widely recognized for the
intellectual approach to the game and the success of their training
methodologies. It is exciting to have coaches of this caliber coming
here to run a clinic.

Moreover, their clinics are extraordinary. They are designed to
cover the most important concepts central to all levels of coaching,
they are structured so the participants learn by doing (there is very
little time spent watching or listening to an expert talk and talk
and talk), and the clinicians are among the best coaches in the
world. Time will be equally divided between the classroom and the
court.

After attending three GM2 clinics, I can personally say that my
coaching has dramatically changed. And, I think, my players enjoy
practice and the GM2 systems that I have implemented.

Seldom do coaches of this caliber come to our area. Take advantage
