We joined this forum because we are huge soccer fans. We took
notice of the U.S. Open last year when local USL teams Harrisburg
City Islanders and Rochester Raging Rhinos were doing battle trying
to win the U.S. Open Cup.
We were so impressed with the play of The City Islanders that we
knew we had to find a way to get these teams to play in our town.
One year later, and we've done it!
The Harrisburg City Islanders are facing off against The Rochester
Raging Rhinos on April 18, 2008 at The Athens Alumni Stadium in
Athens Pennsylvania. For more information about this match go to:
http://www.uslpremier.com
Athens Alumni Stadium features a regulation size artificial turf
field that is well suited for professional play.
These teams haven't met since the last U.S. Open Cup, so this match
will to be one to remember.
The City Islanders are also slated to make a stop at Towanda High
School in Towanda Pennsylvania before the game to talk to local
students and to tour the new Endless Mountains Athletic Complex.
