I have no problem with some teams opting out; however, I think that MLS should
have the following as league goals:

The majority of the USA based MLS teams should participate in the USOCThe MLS
teams should always play these games to winThe USOC will be won by a MLS club

If MLS and its clubs adhere to items 1 and 2 then item 3 will take care of
itself.

D.C. United has posted on their site that they plan on
participating in the 2007 USOC. United's posting was the initial
indication that there may be some changes to the competition in 2007 as
compared to 2006.
