Hi everyone. My name is Josh Hakala and I've been maintaining
www.usopencup.com since the site's humble beginnings during the 2002
season.
Since the days of running it by myself, I recruited the site's
current MVP, Chuck Nolan Jr. to add his website's extensive history.
Every year, we try to get better and more in-depth with our coverage
of the tournament.
In 2006, our goal is to have more feature articles and highlight
even more of the storylines (both past and present) that enrich the
tournament year in and year out.
One can assume that the members of this group are passionate about
the sport and more specifically the U.S. Open Cup, so if any of you
have any suggestions for the site, we would love to hear them.
Also, if any of you have any "journalistic tendencies", we could use
some extra help writing some of the feature articles that I
mentioned above. So far, we've added two additional people to our
roster of writers, and we could always use more.
I can be contacted at joshhakala@... or via instant messager
under the screen name "olujosh" (AOL, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ).
I'm glad that I finally found this site. Someone from this group
emailed the site last year, but by the magic of the internet, the
email ended up in a dormant email account. I just recently regained
access to the account and found this link. Thanks.
Yours in soccer,
Josh Hakala
