GERMANTOWN, Md. -- D.C. United and FC Dallas waged an epic battle in
their U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal match at the Maryland SoccerPlex on
Wednesday night, trading blows for 120 minutes before the visitors
advanced to the final four thanks to an agonizing penalty kick
shootout following a 1-1 draw.
