Richmond, VA - (Wednesday, June 30, 2004) - After two goals annulled and a
scoreless game in regulation, the Richmond Kickers were able to defeat the
Cape Cod Crusaders (PDL) early in overtime, advancing to the fourth round of
the 2004 U.S. Open Cup. The game-winning goal off of a free kick from
Kickers forward David Hayes clinched the match and Richmond will face D.C.
United of Major League Soccer on Wednesday, July 21st at 7:00 p.m. at the
University of Richmond Stadium in Richmond, VA.
