A pair of changes have been made to the third round schedule of the
2003 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, which was released last week.
The match between the Milwaukee Bavarians and Milwaukee Wave United
has been pushed back one week and now will be played Wednesday, July
23, 2003, at the Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee, Wisc. The match
will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT. The match, one of eight scheduled for
the competition's third round, was originally scheduled to be played
on July 16. The Bavarians qualified for the tournament out of Region
II of the United States Adult Soccer Association and advanced with
wins over the Des Moines Menace and Reading Rage. Wave United enters
the tournament in the third round and is a member of the A-League.
Also, the July 16 match between the Fresno Fuego and El Paso Patriots
at Dudley Field in El Paso, Texas, has been pushed back to July 22.
The game will be played at the same location, but will start a 7 p.m.
CT. The Fuego, a USASA affiliated team that qualifies for the
tournament out of the USL's PDL have advanced with wins over the
Chico Rooks and Utah Blitzz. The Patriors enter the competition in
the third round as a qualifier from the A-League.
