USMNT at number 8 in FIFA World Rankings -12 May-
The USA has climbed in the FIFA World Rankings, due to the dominating
1-0 performance against fourth-ranked Mexico on 28 April in Dallas,
elevating the USA to 8th in the world. The number 8 rank equals the
highest position the USA has ever occupied in the world rankings.
USMNT first reached that height in September of 2002, on the heels of
their last victory against Mexico, a 2-0 win in the 2002 World Cup.
