US Open Cup Play-In
Dallas 0 - DC United 2
DC United advances in the MLS Play-In portion of the US Open Cup, beating Dallas 2-0 at RFK stadium. With both teams changing up their roster for the Open Cup, Fred put DC ahead in the 21st minute and Brandon Barklage closed out the scoring in the 66th. Milos Kocic gets the shutout for DC. Dallas changed six players from their last MLS game, and had to adjust again when George John needed to be subbed out with a strained hamstring eight minutes in. "I've said from the beginning that we have a deep team," DC United coach Tommy Soehn said. "It was fun to get them on the field and let them show what they're about and their character, their quality, and why we brought some of them here."
