This is important for show managers. I will try to repeat it to specific people I know that are organizing shows. Please be aware that applications are due August l. This can include shows that have never had qualifying classes before.

Hello everyone,
As you all may know, as a result of the recent USDF conference calls/USEF meetings, the qualifying period for the NAYRC and NAJRC will be extended to include the months of July and August starting for the 2007 qualifying season. This means that there will no longer be a "black out" period of July and August for qualifying. The qualifying season for 2007 has started and will end on and including Sunday, July 1, 2007. The qualifying season for 2008 will begin on Monday, July 2, 2007 and will end on and include June 31, 2008.

Please take this new qualifying season into consideration when reviewing which shows you wish to designate as qualifiers. In addition, please remember that for the 2007 season, the qualifying process for the Juniors will be similar in format as for the Young Riders. They will have to qualify at Official USDF Qualifying competitions. These  will be the same competitions as those used for NAYRC. This will make the process uniform for both groups. The USEF intends on using these qualifying competitions as qualifiers for the Brentina Cup and the FEI National Championships.

All CDI/Y's will have a non-designated status, so do not include CDI/Ys in your group of 10 shows. The Festival of Champions will no longer have ''open classes'' and cannot be used as a Qualifying competition.

Please act quickly on your choice of shows so that we may implement the new system as quickly as possible. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me. Thanks!
