The Region 4 newsletter had information about the Dakota Dressage & Eventing
Freestyle clinic with Karen Robinson of Applause Dressage.

DDE received a grant from The Dressage Foundation’s Dancing Horse Fund, which
made it possible for us to bring in this wonderful clinician.


It was wonderful to see some of the results of the clinic at the recent DDE
managed shows, Dakota Horse Fest; two of the participants are competing
freestyles created at the clinic. Brian Hafner with Lombardo LHF rode a second
level freestyle; Brian took the Jr/YR high score on Saturday, with a 76.458%.
Ruth Ann Hildreth with Paperchase rode a first level freestyle, taking the high
score adult amateur on Sunday, with a 69.167%.

We’re grateful to The Dressage Foundation for their support; we knew applying
that other chapters have gotten sound systems with the grant money. DDE felt we
could borrow a sound system, but needed a more solid education in freestyles,
and we certainly appreciate the wonderful opportunity.
