My name is Sandie Winrich, and I am a member of the GMO, Dakota
Dressage and Eventing (DDE). On Oct 22, 2005 we will be holding our
Annual Meeting and Year End Awards. Incase you are not familiar, Oct
22nd is Make A Difference Day (www.makeadifferenceday.com), and that
is what we are trying to do. I am in charge of organizing the silent
auction to coincide with the meeting and awards. 100% of the Funds
raised will be donated to the animal relief efforts after hurricane
Katrina. Following the Meeting, on Oct 23rd DDE will be hosting 'Ride
for Relief' clinic with USDF Gold Medalist, Anne Hornbeak, from
Folsom, Louisiana, with its proceeds also going to the animal relief
efforts.

My job in running the silent auction is to make sure we generate as
much money for those affected by the hurricane as possible. That's
were you come in. I am asking for donations of any sort. They do not
have to be large, but something to help us make this event a success!
The donation of one item will make a difference! How would this
benefit you, you ask. Well besides donating to a good cause we will
be posting all items donated on www.ddesilentauction.itgo.com and
bidding is open to everyone, DDE member or not. Also, all donors will
also have a business card sized advertisement in a pamphlet that will
be handed out at the auction.
