Dakota Dressage & Eventing is hosting it's annual meeting and awards banquet, 'Making a Difference', on Saturday, October 22 at the Crossroads Hotel and Convention Center in Huron, SD.  Educational sessions will take place throughout the day on topics such as riding with giving hands and an active seat, managing the array of breed and open dressage shows, glamour do's and don'ts for you and your horse, etc.

The keynote presenter at the awards banquet is Anne Hornbeak from Folsom, Louisiana.  Anne has won the USDF Grand Prix Horse of the Year award for Arabian horses and many other regional and national awards.  Having experienced the effects of Hurricane Katrina, she will share with us how recovery is going and what we can do to help.  Please email photos for the 2005 photo display to Ann Daum Kustar at adaum@....  We are looking for photos of DDE volunteers, members, horses, and events!

and from the 'Ride for Relief' clinic Anne is teaching at the
Hippodrome that weekend will benefit the Hurricane Katrina animal recovery efforts.  Donations for the Silent Auction are being accepted by Sandie Winrich (swinrich2000@...) and bids are on-going on the web-site.
