hello,

I am working on putting together my first-ever freestyle, and have an
area that I am a bit unclear on...

from the list of technical requirements, I understand that I need to
show the following things on both reins: 10 m trot circle, 15 m
canter circle, leg yield, change of lead through trot. And I need to
show walk/freewalk, a trot lengthening & canter lengthening in at
least one direction.

However,
I think that a walk to canter transition would add to my difficulty.

and
if I put counter canter in, does that add to my difficulty?
or is that grounds for elimination, as counter canter is a technical
requirement at third.

other ideas to add difficulty?

thanks, in advance!!!!

Dear Joann, You don't need to increase difficulty by doing movements not called for. The way you increase the difficulty is how you plan the freestyle. If ...
