Many Region 4 riders may know an extraordinary trainer/coach named
George Schimpf from his years teaching at Lamplight in Wayne, IL. He
was featured in the Dressage Today story last fall on paraolympic
hopeful rider, Rebbecca Hart. I am sorry to share that George died
in his sleep at home in Chicago on March 9. A church service will be
held March 19 in Aurora, IL (www.stmarksaurora.org) and an evening
for the 'horsey' friends is being planned by Mary Daniels and John
Tanis for later on. Anyone who is interested can contact me for
further details.
