Our GMO has not submitted all of our paperwork yet, but will have an in-hand division and under saddle through GP at our June 11-12 show as part of the Dakota HorseFest in Huron, SD. The HorseFest is a new venture in our state where multiple breeds/disciplines will be competing on one weekend at one location, the state fairgrounds (www.sdstatefair.com). Other activities/events being discussed include horse-related vendors, a free concert, and possibly a joint competitors party on Saturday night.
Bill Solyntjes, 'S' dressage and 'R' sport horse judge, will officiate.
We'd love it if you could join us for our show!

Hi,
I was snooping around the USDF website today and happened upon the
competition calendar for 2005. I noticed that the shows that I was
at this year(2004) showing in hand, did NOT designate in hand being
offered for next year. Is this something that will be put up at a
later date, or is in hand disappearing from our sport? I would like
to show my coming 2 year old as I had so much fun last year, and a
friend of mine would like to show her yearling. Please let me know
if Region 4 will be having ANY in hand classes offered at the
dressage shows? I am particularily interested in the Mason City, IA
shows, but not limited to them.
