Daily presentations by world-class clinicians and trainers will include: Kay Meredith, conducting Dressage clinics; Senior Centered Riding Instructor Susan Harris featuring the Visible Horse and Visible Rider, and Centered Riding clinics with Peggy Brown; Rick Eckhart presenting Hunter and Jumper clinics; Clinton Anderson, providing Downunder Horsemanship; and Don West giving presentations on Trail Riding with emphasis on Naturally Gaited Horses. In addition, Doug Babcock will present Common Sense Horse Training clinics on Friday and Saturday of EquiFest, on Sunday Julie Goodnight will offer a Horsemanship/Equitation clinic.
For the dressage lovers, clinician Kay Meredith will present daily at EquiFest. She has trained and successfully competed through Grand Prix levels in dressage, representing the United States in international competitions and competing throughout the U.S. for three decades. Kay’s EquiFest presentations will utilize dressage horses and riders from our Region, to demonstrate the history of dressage from its warfare origins to its development into modern dressage. Riders will demonstrate various dressage levels, up to FEI (International) level, including several dressage tests with comments, as well as question and answer sessions with the audience. Kay will have presentations all three days. In addition a Musical Freestyle will be offered at EquiFest.
There is a trade show, where you can explore over 130 commercial booths selling horse trailers, tack, feed, clothing, equipment, gifts and countless products and services for horse fans.
Over 150 horses of a wide variety breeds will be presenting at EquiFest, with breed demonstrations, clinics, special demonstrations and a Stallion Review.
Lecture and workshop topics at EquiFest will include: “Buying a New Horse”; “The Visible Horse: An Inside Look at Conformation”; “Understanding and Improving Your Horse’s Gaits, Balance and Movement”; “Centered Driving”; “Problem Horses, is it Me or my Horse?”; “Saddle Fitting”; “Equine Behavior”, and more.
