Open until 5:00 p.m. CDT July 9. South Dakota State University is in
Brookings, SD. This Division 1 equestrian team has tremendous
financial and facility support. The head coach will have an
assistant coach, a barn manager, and (most likely) two graduate
assistants. This is a great opportunity to build high level
equestrian team sports in USDF Region 4.
General function: Serve as head women's equestrian coach for the
intercollegiate program in the Health, Physical Education and
Recreation Department and provide stable and competition management
to include supervision of both facility and competition personnel.
Serve on various committees as assigned and serve in fund raising and
promotions activities in the athletic program.
Duties: A. Head coach for women's equestrian program
B. Responsible for overall operation and management of
questrian program;
C. Responsible for organization of all recruiting
activities;
D. Evaluation and assessment of prospective student-
athletes;
E. Scouting of opponents;
F. Administrative duties (i.e., overseeing budget, travel
arrangements, scheduling of contests);
G. Fund raising and promotion development;
H. Serve on department committees;
I. Administrative responsibilities as assigned.
