Hey everyone, it's Jake again. I was windsurfing last Wednesday at the Seabrook
sailing club in Houston. I managed to rip my mast track right out of my
prodigy. The plastic inserts below the mast track sheared in half. They were
all destroyed. (I've got the older red Prodigy). The inserts look like they
are pressed in after the board was coated with plastic. I tried to contact
Mistral USA but they do not carry replacements. I'm really not sure if it would
be as simple as pressing new ones in anyway.
Has anyone ever come across this before? Any good ideas on how to repair it?
I'd like to still be able to remove the mast track in case it needs to be
repaired.
This was my first real gear failure offshore. Luckily, I was able to insert the
track in the board and hold it in with my feet. I sailed the board back in to
shore. Good thing cause I was a good ways out there.
I can send pics to anyone interested.
Thanks
Jake
