HI Bruce,
Superlights are fun to sail especially up wind on the rail with the big
dagger. Marine Tex or any epoxy repair will work. If you desire, shred
some fiberglass and add it to the repair. I would not worry about
structural strength.
I'm not sure if I understand about the mold seam. Can you send a picture?
I'm getting around pretty good but I am still trying to get strength back in
my legs and flexibility in my pelvis. At 55 it's not a good time to put
one's body through the trauma. I don't bounce back like want to and was
used to.
Cheers

Subject: [usa_prodigy] Mistral Superlight
Speaking of patches, any advice for patching a puncture in my older Mistral
Superlight? I have a 1/4" ding/puncture on the deck and and a few inches of
mold seams are rubbed nearly flat. Otherwise, super nice vintage longboard.
Can't wait to try out my $50 investment (boom, sails, mast and all)
Kevin, how are you getting around?
