Father, God, bless all my friends in whatever it is that you know they may need this day! And may their lives be full of your peace, prosperity and power as they seek to have a closer relationship with you. Amen.

Now send it on to other people. Within hours you caused a multitude of people to pray for other people. Then sit back and watch the power of God work in your life.

P. S. more is better; who else do you know that needs prayer?

Make it a Wonderful Day!!

Dear Everyone,

It is with heavy heart that I relay to your the passing way of Dr. Henry F. Funtecha, a very dear colleague, a respected mentor and a beloved friend, at dawn today due to dissective aneurysm. His remains will lie in state in St. Therese Memorial Chapel tonight and will be brought to UPV Auditorium at the City Campus tomorrow, October 16, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. His remains will lie there overnight. The following morning he will be brought to his church in Central Philippine University.

We enjoin all you to be with us, the faculty and staff of the Division of Social Sciences, in paying our last respects to Sir Henry.

To many of us, I'm sure that in one way or another, directly or indirectly, he was able to touch our lives as members of the UPV community. We are all saddened and shocked by the fact that he was taken so suddenly and so soon.

Hoping to see you all,

Sweet poison........... and a wake-up call!!

SWEET POISON!
MUST READ!

In October of 2001, my Friend's sister started getting very sick. She had stomach spasms and she was having a hard time getting around.  Walking was a major chore.  It took everything she had just to get out of bed; she was in so much pain.

By March 2002, she had undergone several tissue and muscle biopsies and was on 24 various prescription medications.  The doctors could not determine what was wrong with her.
She was in so much pain, and so sick she just knew she was dying.

She put her house, bank accounts, life insurance, etc., in her oldest daughter's name, and made sure that her younger children were to be taken care of.

She also wanted her last hooray, so she planned a trip to Florida (basically in a wheelchair) for March 22nd.

On March 19 her brother called her to ask how her most recent tests went, and she said they didn't find anything on the test, but they believed she had MS.
He recalled an article a friend of his e-mailed to him and he asked his sister if she drank diet soda?

She told him that she did...As a matter of fact, she was getting ready to crack one open that moment.

He told her not to open it, and to stop drinking the diet soda!
He then  e-mailed her the article his friend had sent.

His sister called within 32 hours after their phone conversation and told him she had stopped drinking the diet soda AND she could walk!

The muscle spasms went away. She said she didn't feel 100% but, she sure felt a lot better.

She told him she was going to her doctor with this article and would call him when she got home.

Well, she called and said her doctor was amazed!
He is going to call all of his MS patients to find out if they consumed artificial sweeteners of any kind.

In a nutshell, she was being poisoned by the Aspartame in the diet soda...and literally dying a slow and miserable death.

When she got to Florida March 22, all she had to take was one pill, and that was a pill for the Aspartame poisoning!
She is well on her way to a complete recovery. And she is walking!
No wheelchair!
   This article saved her life.

If it says 'SUGAR FREE' on the label;
DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!   He has spent several days lecturing at the WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL CONFERENCE on 'ASPARTAME,' marketed as 'Nutra Sweet,'
'Equal,' and 'Spoonful.'

In the keynote address by the EPA, it was announced that in the United States in 2001 there was an epidemic of multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus.  It was difficult to determine exactly what toxin was causing this to be rampant.
He stood up and said that he was there to lecture on exactly that subject.

To explain why Aspartame is so dangerous:

When the temperature of this sweetener exceeds 86 degrees F, the wood alcohol in ASPARTAME converts to formaldehyde and then to formic acid, which in turn causes metabolic acidosis.. Formic acid is the poison found in the sting of fire ants..

The methanol toxicity mimics, among other conditions, multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus.

Many people were being diagnosed in error.
Although multiple sclerosis is not a death sentence, Methanol toxicity is!

Systemic lupus has become almost as rampant as multiple sclerosis, especially with
Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi drinkers.

The victim usually does not know that the Aspartame is the culprit.
He or she continues its use; irritating the lupus to such a degree that it may become a life-threatening condition.

We have seen patients with systemic lupus become asymptotic, once taken off diet sodas..
In cases of those diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, most of the symptoms disappear. We've seen many cases where vision loss  returned and hearing loss improved markedly.

This also applies to cases of tinnitus and fibromyalgia..

During a lecture, he said,  'If you are using ASPARTAME (Nutra Sweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc) and you suffer from fibromyalgia symptoms, spasms, shooting, pains, numbness in your legs, Cramps, Vertigo,
Dizziness,
 Headaches, Tinnitus, Joint pain,
Unexplainable depression, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, blurred vision, or memory loss you probably have ASPARTAME poisoning!'

People were jumping up during the lecture saying, 'I have some of these symptoms.  Is it reversible?'

Yes!

Yes!

Yes!

STOP drinking diet sodas and be alert for Aspartame on food labels!  Many products are fortified with it!

This is a serious problem..

Dr. Espart (one of the speakers) remarked that so many people seem to be symptomatic for MS and during his recent visit to a hospice; a nurse stated that six of her friends, who were heavy Diet Coke addicts, had all been diagnosed with MS. This is beyond coincidence!

Diet soda is
NOT a diet product! It is a chemically altered, multiple SODIUM (salt) and ASPARTAME containing product that actually makes you crave carbohydrates. It is far more likely to make you GAIN weight!
These products also contain formaldehyde, which stores in the fat cells, particularly in the hips and thighs.  Formaldehyde is an absolute toxin and is used primarily to preserve 'tissue specimens.'

Many products we use every day contain this chemical but we SHOULD NOT store it IN our body!

Dr. H. J. Roberts stated in his lectures that once free of the
'diet products' and with no significant increase in exercise; his patients lost an average of 19 pounds over a trial period.

Aspartame is especially dangerous for diabetics.

They found that some physicians, who believed that they had a patient with retinopathy, in fact, had symptoms caused by Aspartame.  The Aspartame drives the blood sugar out of control.

Thus diabetics may suffer acute memory loss due to the fact that aspartic acid and phenylalanine are NEUROTOXIC when taken without the other amino acids necessary for a good balance.

Treating diabetes is all about BALANCE.

Especially with diabetics, the Aspartame passes the blood/brain barrier and it then deteriorates the neurons of the brain; causing various levels of brain damage,
Seizures,  Depression, Manic depression, Panic attacks,
Uncontrollable anger and rage.

Consumption of Aspartame causes these same symptoms in non-diabetics as well.  Documentation and observation also reveal that thousands of children diagnosed with ADD and ADHD have had complete turnarounds in their behavior when these chemicals have been removed from their diet.

So called 'behavior modification prescription drugs' (Ritalin and others) are no longer needed..
Truth be told, they were never NEEDED in the first place!

Most of these children were being 'poisoned' on a daily basis with the very foods that were 'better for them than sugar.'

It is also suspected that the Aspartame in thousands of pallets of
Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi consumed by men and women fighting in the Gulf War, may be partially to blame for the well-known Gulf War Syndrome.

Dr. Roberts warns that it can cause birth defects, i.e. mental retardation, if taken at the time of conception and during early pregnancy.

Children are especially at risk for neurological disorders and should NEVER be given artificial sweeteners.

There are many different case histories to relate of children suffering grand mal seizures and other neurological disturbances talking about a plague of neurological diseases directly caused by the use of this deadly poison.'

Herein lies the problem:

There were Congressional Hearings when Aspartame was included in 100 different products and strong objection was made concerning its use. Since this initial hearing, there have been two subsequent hearings, and still nothing has been done.
The drug and chemical lobbies have very deep pockets.

Sadly, MONSANTO'S patent on Aspartame has EXPIRED!
There are now over 5,000 products on the market that contain this deadly chemical and there will be thousands more introduced.  Everybody wants a 'piece of the Aspartame pie.'

I assure you that MONSANTO, the creator of Aspartame, knows how deadly it is.

And isn't it ironic that MONSANTO funds, among others, the American Diabetes Association, the American Dietetic Association and the Conference of the American College of Physicians?

This has been recently exposed in the New York Times.

These [organizations] cannot criticize any additives or convey their link to MONSANTO because they take money from the food industry and are required to endorse their products.

Senator Howard Metzenbaum wrote and presented a bill that would require label warnings on products containing Aspartame, especially regarding pregnant women, children and infants.

The bill would also institute independent studies on the known dangers and the problems existing in the general population regarding seizures, changes in brain chemistry, neurological changes and behavioral symptoms.

The bill was killed.

It is known that the powerful drug and chemical lobbies are responsible for this, letting loose the hounds of disease and death on an unsuspecting and uninformed public. Well, you're informed now!

HABITS OF EVERY SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYEE (PART 2 of 2)

by Ms. Marlene Legasi-Munar

http://www.febc.ph/stations/dzas/protips/index.html

Success comes at a price. It is costly. Hindi ito madali. Kailangan ng disiplina, kailangan masipag, kailangan matiyaga. Merong mga habits na dapat madevelop sa atin if we would like to become successful in our personal and professional lives. Kahapon nagsimula tayo sa ating two-part series “Habits of every successful employee” galing sa aklat na The Etiquette Advantage ni Jun Hines Moore.

10. Maintain the appearance of dignity but not superiority. A person who is dignified is someone who carries himself with integrity, someone who is characterized by honesty and fairness. Makikita mo ang respeto at maayos na pagtrato niya sa kanyang mga kasamahan because he believes that every man and every woman is a person of dignity. Sa kabilang banda naman yung mga feeling superior, ito yung pinamumukha na sila ay mahusay, mataas ang kanilang posisyon and so they expect other people to respect them or to bow to their every whim and command.. That is not what successful employees do. Successful employees maintain the appearance of dignity but

not superiority.

11. They keep promises, obligations and appointments. Their yes is yes and their no is no.

12. Always be on time. If detained, notify the host or guest.

13. The habit of returning telephone calls within 24 hours or ask assistance in doing so.

14. Avoid procrastinating. Do not procrastinate or neglect your duties consequently burdening someone else’s schedule. Do not procrastinate or neglect your duties.

15. Return borrowed property quickly and in good condition.

16. Do not engage in office gossip but do attempt to stop rumors. Do not engage in office gossip. You have a responsibility to stop rumors. Tingnan mo nga siya at sabihin sa kanya, “Don’t engage in office gossip, do attempt to stop rumors.”

17. Not bragging or becoming paranoid or defensive about your position or tasks accomplished. Let us avoid being defensive lalo na kung halimbawa merong ibinigay na kumento ang ating mga katrabaho sa ginawa natin. Always take that as an opportunity to grow, as an opportunity to learn.

18. Be discrete about any personal friendships with employees or any personnel within the company. Of course we cannot avoid to develop friendships and very close friendships in the workplace dahil ang mga ka-opisina natin sila ang mas madalas nating nakakasama at mas mahabang oras ang ginugugol natin sa kanila, but do not allow your personal friendships to compromise your professionalism and your convictions in the workplace. Be discrete about any personal friendships with employees or any personnel within the company. Ang trabaho ay dapat trabaho. Company policies should never be sacrificed because of personal friendships.

19. Habit of giving recognition to those who deserve it and not taking credit for someone else’s work.

Be a blessing in the workplace today.

HABITS OF EVERY SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYEE (PART 1 of 2)

by Ms. Marlene Legasi-Munar

http://www.febc.ph/stations/dzas/protips/index.html

Ang sabi ni Jun Hines Moore sa The Etiquette Advantage – adopting the following habits will improve your success no matter where you are on the career ladder.

1. Always introduce people in a manner that makes each of them feel comfortable. When you make it a habit to introduce people in a manner that will make them feel comfortable, you are actually making deposits in their lives. Making introductions and always introducing people in a timely and gentle manner.

2. Do not be pushy or aggressive in social situations trying to promote your own career at the

expense of another. There is a time to assert yourself pero kapag agresibo tayo masyado, many people are turned off.

3. Always write a note or a letter to acknowledge a favor or gift. Always be thankful.

4. Be able to converse intelligently on a variety of subjects. So dapat well rounded ang ating kaalaman. We are updated with what is going on para kapag merong pinag-usapan kahit papaano makakapagcontribute tayo sa discussion.

5. Do not pretend to be a know-it-all on any topic of conversation. Related sa naibahagi kong bahagi kanina, it is important that we conversant with a variety of subjects but do not pretend to be a know-it all. Kung hindi natin talaga alam iyong pinag-uusapan, it would be good to ask intelligent questions from the person who is knowledgeable about the subject matter. In that way, you are affirming the expertise of the person at natututo rin tayo.

6. Know how to dress properly on and off the job and in keeping with the company image. Seek help in building a professional-looking wardrobe if necessary.

7. Never discuss private company matters with outsiders. Bakit?

a. Baka naman hindi sila talaga interesado.

b. The best person to talk about the problems that you have in your company is your boss o kaya iyong mga kasamahan mo doon sa trabaho. Again, an important habit that we should develop if we want to be successful is to never discuss private company matters with outsiders.

8. Remain polite but firm with ill-mannered individuals.

9. Remember that everything you do reflects on all.

Be a blessing in the workplace today.

YOU ARE SO BLESSED!

by Maloi Salumbides

http://www.febc.ph/stations/dzas/protips/index.html

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness,

you are more blessed than the million who won't survive the week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle,

the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture or

the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 20 million people around the world.

If you attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are more blessed than almost three billion people in the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If your parents are still married and alive, you are very rare, especially in the United States.

If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.

If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder, you are blessed because you can

offer God's healing touch.

If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read anything at all.

You are so blessed in ways you may never even know.

Try and try again!

by Maloi Salumbides

http://www.febc.ph/stations/dzas/protips/index.html

5,626 – total number of Bar examinees in 2007

1,289 – bilang ng mga pumasa

4,337 – bilang ng mga hindi pinalad

Like the 4,337 who didn't make it to the 2007 Bar exams, marami sa atin ang hindi rin naman nakakamit ang ating mga mithiin sa unang subok natin.

- Abraham Lincoln lost in numerous elections before he became the most remembered and respected president of the United States of America. He lost in the elections but never did he lose heart. He pressed on until he achieved his goal.

- Albert Einstein was once labeled a difficult and slow learner. Many years after, he was recognized as a genius!

- Bill Gates was a school drop-out.

- My husband, Atty. Aldwin Salumbides passed the bar exams on his first take. But it was a different story when it came to courtship.

Why should we try again? Allow me to suggest 3 reasons:

1) We should try again because God's plan is perfect and his timing is best. God's plan is perfect but is doesn't mean that it's easy. Trust that you still haven't gotten what you desire because God has a better plan for you now. This is not sour- graping. This is trusting the sovereign will of God.

2) We should try again because setbacks are just temporary. We should not allow setbacks to define our future. Delays don't mean "no go".

3) We should try again because failures are simply preparations for bigger challenges and brighter successes in life. A friend who didn't make it to the 2007 Bar exams optimistically told me, "Maybe, I didn't make it to the Bar this year because He wants me to get a higher score next year!" I know of someone who was wait-listed on his entrance exam for post-graduate studies in a particular university. As a result, he deferred his enrolment, worked for a year while preparing for his back to school stint. He met his future wife while working, got the degree that he wanted and is now successful in his field of work. God's plan is perfect and his timing is purposeful.

You may just be recovering from a heart-breaking experience or you may be nursing a fresh wound from an unsuccessful feat. Don't lose heart. Try and try again! The Bible says, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." (James 1:2-4)

When a thief forces you to take money from the ATM, do not argue or resist. You might not know what he or she might do to you. What you should do is to punch your PIN in the reverse mode.
I.e. if your PIN # is 1254, you punch 4521.The moment you punch in the reverse mode, the money will come out, but will be stuck into the machine half way out and it will alert the Police (security) without the notice of the thief. Every ATM has it; it is specially made to signify danger and help. Not everyone is aware of this.

Costly Blunders: The Glory of Second Chance

by Marlene Legaspi-Munar

http://www.febc.ph/stations/dzas/protips/index.html

Have you had your second chance? A second chance is another opportunity given to us to fulfill something after a failure. That's a second chance at life. May mga artistang nawala sandali sa limelight at halos hindi na napapansin but when given the right break, sumigla uli ang kanilang career. Accidents, injuries, ignorance, pressures from others, lack of resources, or drastic changes in our situations may cause us to fail or put our dreams on hold. Let me encourage you today by giving you three stories about second chances.

He was President during the Civil War and he prevented the separation of his country into two parts. But did you know that before he became the president, he failed in so many local and national elections?

Dati siyang professional baseball player but because of an injury he had to quit. As a baseball coach, he challenged his team, na kulelat sa ranking, na maging division champion. In return, his team dared him to try out for the major baseball league kung sakaling manalo nga silang division champion. The team won and Morris kept his part of the deal by trying out. Kahit may edad na siya, he pitched amazingly well kaya kinuha siya ng isang Florida-based baseball team. At 35, Jim Morris became one of the oldest rookies ever in US baseball history. Incidentally, his life story was made into a film titled "The Rookie" and was a surprise hit in the US.

How about you? Hindi man siguro maisapelikula ang inyong buhay but your story of a second chance can also encourage others to move one. You can still have a future even after a failure. There is still glory in second chance. Just remember, don't forget to bring back the glory to God who gives you all the chances that you need.

Costly Blunders: What To Do Part II

by Marlene Legaspi-Munar

http://www.febc.ph/stations/dzas/protips/index.html

First, admit your mistakes. Aminin mo ang iyong pagkakamali o kasalanan. Don't look for a scapegoat, o taong mapagbubuntunan ng sisi. Be aware of your limitations and imperfections. Be humble and admit your mistakes.

Second, accept the consequences. Some may have grave or serious consequences. Others may have lesser effects. Some blunders may be excusable, but there are offenses that deserves

penalty.

Third, avoid comparing yourself with others. Maaaring ang ibang tao ay mas madaling makabawi after a failure.

kakayahan at kahinaan. And each one of us must deal with unique circumstances in our lives. Instead of comparing yourself with others, try to learn from them. That brings us to another point.

Ask counsel from others. A spiritual leader or counselor for example, can help you see things from a perspective which you are not aware of.

Finally, ask God to redeem you from your past mistakes.

iyong buhay. Be thankful for improvements that you see in your personal and career life. Don't dwell on the past, but be thankful for improvements that you see in your personal and career life. Smile and look forward to better days.

Costly Blunders: What To Do (Part I)

by Marlene Legaspi-Munar

http://www.febc.ph/stations/dzas/protips/index.html

All of us have failed at one time or another. Some leaders fail the test of integrity. Others fail to be a good example. What's sad is that our blunders or mistakes can have great effects in our lives and the lives of others around us.

When you've made a costly blunder, the first thing to do is to ask God for forgiveness.

God can also deliver you from bad habits or unhealthy work ethics if you will surrender your life to God and obey Him. With God's help, magagawa mong iwasan ang mga kamalian.

Pangalawa, forgive yourself. Don't go around carrying the unnecessary baggage of guilt and condemnation. You can not move on and mend your ways if you do not forgive yourself. So forgive yourself for the mistakes you have committed gaano man ito kalaki.

Pangatlo, apologize and ask forgiveness from those whom you have wronged. In that declaration the United Church of Christ publicly condemned the Church's guilt and complicity in World War II.

Although the damage has been done, a public apology somehow helps ease the hurt done to others and helps rebuild the affected person's reputation.

How we wish we don't commit any careless mistakes and most especially costly blunders. But when you do we hope you'll bear in mind our tips for today. Tune in tomorrow for more practical tips on what to do when you commit a blunder dito lang sa Protips.

Successful Failures Part III (Biblical Characters)

by Marlene Legaspi-Munar

http://www.febc.ph/stations/dzas/protips/index.html

Failures are actually opportunities for us to change and grow, and mistakes can be effective teachers. Given time and encouragement, we can all grow and be successfully used by God. Ganito ang nangyari kay John Mark, or Mark, na siyang sumulat ng Gospel of Mark. Mark’s life story is mentioned in Acts 12:25-13:13 and Acts 15:36-39. He is also mentioned in Colossians 4:10; 2 Timothy 4:11; and 1 Peter 5:13.

The early church gathered in his mother’s large house in Jerusalem, the same house kung saan nagprayer meeting ang mga believers when Peter was imprisoned under Herod Agrippa I. Mark became an assistant and traveling companion to the three of the greatest early missionaries, namely Barnabas, Paul and Peter. Dahil nakasama niya si Peter, he had the rare opportunity to observe closely the apostle, at mula sa kanya paulit-ulit din niyang narinig ang mga kuwento tungkol sa Panginoong Jesus. That’s why he was able to write the Gospel according to Mark, which is considered to be the first gospel written among the four.

But these accomplishments of Mark, or John Mark, are not often highlighted. Ang madalas nating maalala about Mark were his failures. According to some Bible scholars, he was probably the young man described in Mark 14:51-52 na tumakas nang hulihin si Jesus, tuloy naiwan niya ang kanyang balabal. On their second missionary journey, Barnabas suggested that they take in Mark again as a companion but Paul refused. Dahil dito, nagkaroon ng mainit na pagtatalo sina Barnabas and Paul and that led to their separation. But Barnabas decided to take Mark under his wings. He stood beside the young Mark despite his failure. He encouraged Mark and eventually Mark learned from his mistakes. Later on, mababasa natin in Paul’s epistles, that Mark has become helpful to Paul, and that Peter considered him as a son.

What can we learn from Mark’s story? First, maturity often comes as a result of time and mistakes. You will mature if you will learn from your mistakes. It takes time for a person to change and grow. Secondly, encouragement can change a person’s life. Hindi pinabayaan ni Barnabas si Mark. He trusted him and built him up until he was able and confident to minister again.

If you made a mistake, ask forgiveness from those people who were affected by your mistakes. Forgive yourself and learn from your mistakes. Look for someone who can encourage you and mentor you. If you have a “Barnabas” or an “encourager” take time to thank that person, and be an encourager yourself to others. Your encouragement can turn a person’s failure into success.

Keep this on the Fridge

Did You Know That? Drinking two glasses of
Gatorade can relieve headache pain almost immediately -- without the unpleasant side effects caused by traditional "pain relievers."

Did you know that Colgate toothpaste makes an excellent salve for burns.

Before you head to the drugstore for a high-priced inhaler filled with mysterious chemicals, try chewing on a couple of curiously strong Altoids peppermints. They'll clear up your stuffed nose.

Achy muscles from a bout of the flu? Mix 1 Tablespoon of horseradish in 1 cup of olive oil. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes, then apply it as a massage oil, for instant relief for aching muscles.

Sore throat? Just mix 1/4 cup of vinegar with 1/4 cup of honey and take 1 tablespoon six times a day. The vinegar kills the bacteria.

Cure urinary tract infections with Alka-Seltzer. Just dissolve two tablets in a glass of water and drink it at the onset of the symptoms. Alka-Seltzer begins eliminating urinary tract infections almost instantly -- even though the product was never been advertised for this use. (Note: Alka-Seltzer Plus Cold Medicine is not the same..and contains aspirin, which can cause stomach bleeding if you have ulcers.)

Honey remedy for skin blemishes... Cover the blemish with a dab of honey and place a Band-Aid over it. Honey kills the bacteria, keeps the skin sterile, and speeds healing. Works overnight.

Listerine therapy for toenail fungus... Get rid of unsightly toenail fungus by soaking your toes in Listerine mouthwash. The powerful antiseptic leaves your toenails looking healthy again.

Easy eyeglass protection... To prevent the screws in eyeglasses from loosening, apply a small drop of Maybelline Crystal Clear nail polish to the threads of the screws before tightening them.

Coca-Cola cure for rust... Forget those expensive rust removers. Just saturate an abrasive sponge with Coca Cola and scrub the rust stain. The phosphoric acid in the coke is what gets the job done.

Cleaning liquid that doubles as bug killer... If menacing bees, wasps, hornets, or yellow jackets get in your home and you can't find the insecticide, try a spray of Formula 409. Insects drop to the ground instantly.

Smart splinter remover
...just pour a drop of Elmer's Glue-All over the splinter, let dry, and peel the dried glue off the skin. The splinter sticks to the dried glue..

Hunt's tomato paste boil cure....cover the boil with Hunt's tomato paste as a compress. The acids from the tomatoes soothe the pain and bring the boil to a head.

Balm for broken blisters...To disinfect a broken blister, dab on a few drops of Listerine ... a powerful antiseptic.

Heinz vinegar to heal bruises.. Soak a cotton ball in white vinegar and apply it to the bruise for 1 hour.. The vinegar reduces the blueness and speeds up the healing process.

Kills fleas instantly. Dawn dish washing liquid does the trick. Add a few drops to your dog's bath and shampoo the animal thoroughly. Rinse well to avoid skin irritations. Goodbye fleas.

Rainy day cure for dog odor... Next time your dog comes in from the rain, simply wipe down the animal with Bounce or any dryer sheet, instantly making your dog smell springtime fresh.

Eliminate ear mites.... All it takes is a few drops of Wesson corn oil in your cat's ear. Massage it in, then clean with a cotton ball. Repeat daily for 3 days The oil soothes the cat's skin, smothers the mites, and accelerates healing.

Quaker Oats for fast pain relief...It's not for breakfast anymore! Mix 2 cups of Quaker Oats and 1 cup of water in a bowl and warm in the microwave for 1 minute, cool slightly, and apply the mixture to your hands for soothing relief from arthritis pain.

If you send this to 10 people and only one of them doesn't know about this, then it was worth it.

Aspirin
 1. If you take an aspirin or a baby aspirin once a day, take it at Night.  The reason:  aspirin has a 24-hour "half-life".  Therefore, if most heart attacks happen in the wee hours of the morning, the aspirin would be strongest in your system.

2.  FYI, aspirin lasts a really long time in your medicine chest.

WHY ASPIRIN BY THE BED saves  lives ...

It is important to always have ASPIRIN in the home!!!

Why have Aspirin by the bedside ?

ABOUT HEART ATTACKS:

There are other symptoms of a heart attack besides the pain down the left arm.
One must also be aware of an intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating, however these symptoms may also occur less frequently.

NOTE : There may be no pain in the chest during a heart attack.

The majority of people (about 60%) who have had a heart attack  during their sleep, did not wake up. However, if it occurs, the chest pain may  wake you up from your deep sleep. If that happens,  IMMEDIATELY DISSOLVE TWO ASPIRINS IN YOUR MOUTH and swallow them with a bit of water.

Afterwards, phone a neighbor or a family member who lives very  close by and state "HEART ATTACK!!!" and that you have taken 2 ASPIRINS

Take a seat on a chair or sofa and wait for their arrival and ...

DO NOT LIE DOWN !!!

A Cardiologist has stated that, if each person, after receiving  this e-mail, sends it to at least 10 people, probably a life could be saved!

Thank you!

Successful Failures Part II (Biblical Characters)

by Marlene Legaspi-Munar

http://www.febc.ph/stations/dzas/protips/index.html

In fact, he was the recognized leader among Jesus’ disciples--one of the three members of the inner circle made up of James, John, and Peter himself. Peter was a Galilean fisherman when Jesus called him to be “a fisher of men”. What is so special with Peter that Jesus should call him? And like ordinary men, they too have character flaws and failures. Yet Jesus saw their potential. Let’s first take a look at some of the weaknesses and mistakes of Peter.

First, Peter often spoke without thinking. But we know that just like the rest, he too left Jesus when he was arrested.

Second, Peter denied, not just once but thrice, that he knew Jesus.

Third, Peter at times was still afraid of what other people would say. According to Galatians 2:12, Peter ate with Gentile Christians who were not circumcised. But when some circumcised Jewish people came, Peter would not eat with these Gentiles anymore because he was afraid of what the legalists would say.

He was given a second chance, and he used that second chance to love and serve the Lord more fervently and faithfully. He preached the Good News at Pentecost where about three thousand people turned away from their sins and turned to God. He also healed the lame man at the temple. It was also Peter who reached out to Cornelius who was a Gentile. And he wrote the books First and Second Peter.

The story of the Apostle Peter shows that even when we are unfaithful, God is still faithful. He can restore us and use us again as His instruments to bring more people to Christ. We should not only be enthusiastic, but we should follow through what we have promised. And lastly, it is better to be a follower who sometimes fails than one who fails to follow.

Successful Failures Part I (Biblical Characters)

by Marlene Legaspi-Munar

http://www.febc.ph/stations/dzas/protips/index.html

Throughout the Bible we can read about men and women who were used by

God mightily. But these people are not perfect. Ang totoo, marami sa kanila

ang maituturing na mahina and if it were not for the grace and power of God

they would not have accomplished much. The lives of these people reflect the

reality that God chooses people who could be changed by His love, and that

those who obey Him could be used by Him.

One of these mighty men of God is Moses.

Acts 7:20-44 at Hebrews 11:24-28. By the world’s standard, Moses could be

considered a failure because of the following reasons:

First, he turned his back on worldly riches, power and fame.

He was privileged

to have a lifestyle enjoyed by those belonging to the royal family. He also

received excellent education, and certainly He enjoyed the power and

authority of being one of the prince of Egypt.

According to Hebrews

11:24-26: “…when he grew up, (he) refused to be treated as the son of

Pharoah’s daughter. He chose to share the oppression of God’s people instead

of enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin. He thought it was better to suffer for

the Messiah than to own the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking ahead to the

great reward that God would give him.”

But instead of considering Moses as a failure, we must follow

His example because in God’s kingdom he was certainly successful. He was

successful in earning an eternal reward and while here on earth he was able to

glorify God.

Secondly, by the world’s standard, Moses could be considered a failure because

he was rejected several times by his own people.

When we are rejected by

people, especially those who are close to us, it’s very easy to feel that we

have failed. But in spite of this rejection, nagpatuloy pa rin si Moses sa pag-akay

sa mga Israelita patungo sa lupang pangako. Jesus was also rejected by

His own people but it doesn’t mean he failed. Hanggang ngayon, maraming tao

In the midst of persecution and rejection, hang on and persevere. Gawin nyo

lang ang pinagagawa sa inyo ng Panginoon and you will succeed. Remember,

failure from the point of view of this world is actually success in the kingdom of

God.

After a Break: Reclaiming Your Position

by Marlene Legaspi-Munar

http://www.febc.ph/stations/dzas/protips/index.html

Anong masasabi mo sa isang manlalarong dating number one ngunit bumagsak sa ranggong 141st sa buong mundo, ngunit pagkaraan ng ilang taon ay nakabalik muli sa puwesto niya bilang number one player in the world? Kahanga-hanga, hindi ba? I'm talking about Andre Agassi, the 32 year-old tennis player who's only one of the five players in the world who have won the four major professional tennis tournament: the Australian Open, the French Open, the Wimbledon, and the US Open.

But after a wrist injury in 1997, Agassi did not play in many tournaments. Pero muling nakabangon si Agassi and by the end of 1999, he reclaimed his former position in the tennis world: he ranked number one again.

First, Agassi was determined and persistent.

He was not only determined and persistent, but he was also humble. But not Agassi. He acknowledged that he needed help so kumuha siya ng panibagong coach na tumulong sa kanya upang makita ang kanyang kahinaan at mapagbuti pa ang kanyang paglalaro. He was also willing to start from scratch.

tournaments.

The Bible says, "Humble yourselves under God's mighty hand that He may lift you up in due time." If you have been down and out, huwag kang mawalan ng pag-asa. If you humble yourself before God, and if you are determined and persistent, you can get back to your work or to your position. Injuries and other struggles may hinder you for a while, but God's hand can put the spring back in your life.

There is a Time for Everything

by Maloi Salumbides

http://www.febc.ph/stations/dzas/protips/index.html

Ganito ka ba magdasal, “Lord, please give me patience. And give it to me, NOW na, Lord!”

Remember this, there is always a time for everything.

Ang sabi ng Ecclesiastes 3:1-11, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace…God has made everything beautiful in its time.”

There is a time for everything, kaya…

1) Learn to enjoy every activity in its appropriate season.

Kapag panahon ng bakasyon at pahinga, time-out muna sa work mo. Do every activity in its appropriate time and season.

2) Pangalawa, there is a time for everything so avoid hurrying or rushing. Tandaan: Haste makes waste. Sa movie version ng Prince Caspian, isa sa mga installment ng Chronicles of Narnia, may magandang aral na mapupulot tungkol sa right timing. When High King Peter and his siblings returned to the magical place called Narnia, it was in utter ruins. Lucy, the youngest of the four Pevensies, was also

against the idea. Lucy said, “It seems that you thinking of only two options, to die here or to die there. Have you forgotten, who really defeated the white witch? (She was referring to Aslan). The older Pevensie answered, “We’ve waited for Aslan, long enough. Now we need to do it ourselves.”

Avoid rush decisions and hurried actions because Haste makes waste. Learn to count the cost and wait for the best offer.

3) There is a time for everything. Pangatlong dapat tandaan pagdating sa timing ay ito: waiting does not mean inactivity. Something great happens when we wait. Waiting develops our character. As you wait, learn to depend on God and trust that his timing is best.

Tandaan mo, there is a time for everything.

ENHANCING EFFECTIVE NEGOTIATION SKILLS PART 5

by Maloi Salumbides

http://www.febc.ph/stations/dzas/protips/index.html

Lahat ng simula ay may pagtatapos. Lahat ng negosasyon ay merong pagsasara. Paano

negotiators, ang tawag nila sa conclusion ay going for the quill pero I would rather term it

differently and say it is sealing a deal. Kung papaano ninyo tinatapos iyong pag-uusap

ninyo. Meron tayong mahahalagang puntos on how to conclude a negotiation.

You do not walk away from the

negotiation table without really concluding your discussion at kailangan kapag kayo ay

niya para kung sakasakali mang itanggi niya, you have something tangible, meron kang

Makikita

natin importante that when you conclude the negotiation, you summarize, dapat

napagkasunduan. You also ask for confirmation nga ba iyong mga terms, agree ba

tayong lahat dito. There should be a confirmation from all parties involved. It is also

important that you document or record whatever you have agreed upon or discussed.

Makatutulong talaga na you also get a commitment from the other party negotiating with

you.

Icoconfirm mo from him

at the same time iconfirm mo rin sa sarili mong party o sa sarili mong panig from your

principals na talaga bang ready tayo to release the amount on such and such a date.

Tiyakin mo rin sa mga boss mo that you are ready, willing and able to deliver what you

have promised to the other party. Importante rin when concluding the negotiation that

both parties would walk away from the negotiating table feeling like winners. Maganda

1. Set clear objectives

2. Know what is negotiable or non-negotiable.

3. Consider concessions.

4. Spend time preparing and doing your homework.

5. Consider the strategy of sincerity.

6. To conclude the negotiation, you need to summarize, confirm, document

everything and get a commitment so that at the end of the day both you and the

other party will feel like winners.

Be a blessing in the workplace today.

ENHANCING EFFECTIVE NEGOTIATION SKILLS PART 4

by Maloi Salumbides

http://www.febc.ph/stations/dzas/protips/index.html

Meron ba

talagang room ang bluffing and deception pagdating sa effective negotiation? Tanunging natin si Atty.

Aldwin Salumbides. Sa tanong na is there a room for bluffing? Unfortunately, there is a room kasi

natin, is it an effective negotiation tool o iyong bluffing, iyong pangbobola, pangdaraya. I would say na

eventually if they will build a reputation na ay nangblubluff lang iyan baka iyong susunod na

Come to think of it, papaano iyong mga

ay what is keeping the other party from also reneging or breaching their respective agreement. Iyon ang

pwedeng maging downside if bluffing becomes your way to negotiating.

of sincerity. Sa isang negosasyon kasi hindi puro salita o laway ang puhunan diyan kailangan you have

to be ready to back-up your words with concrete action.

hindi you will walk away from the negotiation, you will walk away from the table as enemies rather than

friends.

kung ano ang iyong objectives but you end the deal or you end the negotiation as friends. Siyempre

Talagang pumapasok iyong sincerity as a very effective tool in

negotiation.

approach you with all their defenses up.

integrity and your reputation.

practice the strategy of sincerity when negotiating.

Be a blessing in the workplace today.

ENHANCING EFFECTIVE NEGOTIATION SKILLS PART 3

by Maloi Salumbides

http://www.febc.ph/stations/dzas/protips/index.html

kinakailangan malaki at mahabang preparasyon.

kailangan talaga rito iyong kaaalaman.

background. Ano ba ang pagkatao niya. Ano inyong mga posibleng bagay na

pagtatalunan. At ano iyong

background ng inyong bagay na pinag-uusapan. Pagpalagay na lang natin simpleng job

interview. It would always help that you will know the person who would interview you

beforehand.

eskwelahan.” Nakakatulong kahit papaano kung alam mo kung ano nga iyong

background ng kanegosasyon mo.

It

mo dahil after all kapag mabilis kayo nagkakilala you can already move from step 1 to

step 2 or step 3 immediately. You cut short yung acquaintanship or getting-to-know-you

stage.

relationship. Para doon sa baguhan pa lamang when it comes to negotiation, can we give

them creative tips on how to get to know the person whom they will deal with pagdating

ngayon kagaya ng internet and it would not be bad to know beforehand, halimbawa sa

“Sino ba iyong

makakanegosasyon ko?” Aside from getting the name of the person whom you would be

negotiating with you can also try to get the background through various means.

makakadeal mo. Importante na meron tayong research. Research is very important

during the preparation stage. Meron bang mga preparasyon na kinakailangang gawin

physicially, emotionally, halimbawa pati iyong opisina ninyo, iyong lugar kung saan

kayo magmemeeting. Anong klaseng mga physical preparations ang kinakailangan.

Kailangan you have to make yourself appear pleasant, amiable and sincere.

Most of the times venue is very critical towards a

successful negotiation. Minsan pati seating arrangements inoorganize iyan. You set

things up in such a way that you will not just feel comfortable but sometimes feel very

confident about yourself and about what you want to accomplish during that time.

Iyong iba nga nagpapatugtog muna ng mood music, iyong iba nagpapakain muna to

epektibo at successful negotiation, preparation is very important.

Tatlong bagay na an gating nacover pagdating sa effective negotiation:

1. Clear objectives, knowing what is negotiable and non-negotiable.

2. You also consider concessions, dapat maging give and take itong negotiation

experience na ito.

3. Preparation.

ENHANCING EFFECTIVE NEGOTIATION SKILLS PART 2

by Maloi Salumbides

In a bigger level and a larger scale pag

Define concession in the context of negotiation. Sabihin na lang natin give and take. During

Minsan, in exchange for giving something, it is also possible

that you get something more valuable in exchange.

But I walked away from the sale feeling bad, at the same time

iyong kabilang tao. That is how concessions come into play.

ay both of you would feel happy after the negotiation o ang gusto mo ay ikaw lang ang manalo

In exchange for a

concession, probably also get something of equal value or better yet something which is more

valuable.

How to prepare for a negotiation.

ENHANCING EFFECTIVE NEGOTIATION SKILLS PART 1

by Maloi Salumbides

http://www.febc.ph/stations/dzas/protips/index.html

Sa maraming pagkakataon, you use your negotiation skills of course in the office when you are negotiating for a higher pay, baka marami sa inyo gusto na ng promotion at gusto ng mas mataas na sahod kailangan ninyo ng negotaiton skills. Hindi lang iyan, when talking to a customer, when talking to a client and you want to convince them with a product or with a project ay kailangan din ng negotiation skills. For this entire week ay makakasama natin ang isang

Let us get down to business and talk about enhancing effective negotiation skills.

So non-negotiable para iyo for one would be the price o iyong ceiling ng pwedeng acquisition o bilihan.

You need to agree on a workable schedule that suits both of you, magkalaban man o kahit hindi magkatunggali.

These drinks contain Sodium Benzoate 211 on the label.
A chemical reaction between Vitamin C and Sodium Benzoate creates Benzine a highly Carcinogenic chemical (story by Channel 9).

Benzine has the ability to severely damage the DNA in the
Mitochondria to the point that it totally inactivates it, knocks it out altogether. The Mitochondria consumes Oxygen to give you energy, and if you damage it, then the cell starts to malfunction very seriously, often fatally, a whole array of Diseases has been tied to the damage to the DNA, including Parkinson's Disease and quite a lot of Neuro-Degenerative Diseases..

This is a follow-up of all the TV station's story on Mentos and Diet Coke.
Don't mix these two either, they cause a chemical reaction (explosion) in the stomach, it's not only Mentos but also any Mint products. Mint Life Savers, Tic Tac's, Cool Mint's, etc, the Mint is not the culprit here but the Aspartame in the Diet Drinks, 951 on the label, also   avoid 950 Acelsultame F (same thing). Aspartame poisoning has been scientifically linked to 92 Symptoms of Disease ... Still going to drink your Diet Drinks???

Most European countries have forbidden the Importing
and use in their Country of Aspartame including all makes of Saccharin, example Equal, Nutra-Sweet,  Spoonful & Diet Drinks, including 6,000 consumer Good's and Beverages, sold on the Supermarket shelves .  this ban affect's all use of this product in any type o consumable infringement and will carry penalties that go from 9.000 euros to 90,000 Euros.

Mexico is also considering banning all 6,000 products of Aspartame on its Supermarket shelves. In Mexico Aspartame is known as Rumsfeld's Disease, after George Bush's mate Donald Rumsfeld. The Nutra-Sweet company and Searle are owned by Monsanto who appointed Rumsfeld as their General Manager, so they could
use his clout with Parliament to get this Deadly Poison passed by the FDA   and boost their sales of Aspartame.
