How do I make the most of opportunities that come. So when opportunities knock on your door and you open your door, how do you make the most of those opportunities.
- From Deuteronomy 1:21 and 30: “Don’t be afraid, don’t be discouraged. The Lord your God is going before you. He will fight for you just as you saw Him do in Egypt.” What principle can we get here about making the most of opportunities that come our way? The principle is this - respond with courage and faith in God when opportunities arise. Remember that opportunities at work and in your life come because God allowed them to come and so when we respond, we should respond with faith and with courage in God.
- Philippians 1:14: Ang sabi ni Paul, “Because of my imprisonment many of the Christians have gained confidence and become more bold in telling others about Christ.” What principle can we get from this verse? Seize opportunities to do good even when you are experiencing personal hardship. Have you viewed problems and hardships in that way? That they too can spell out great opportunities for you to mature as a person and to help other people. Seize opportunities to do good even when you are experiencing personal hardship.
- 1 Corinthians 16:8-9: "In the meantime, I will be saying here at Ephesus until the festival of Pentecost for there is a wide open door for a great work here and many people are responding." The principle is - be willing to change your plans in order to take advantage of an opportunity. If we are flexible we can maximize the opportunities that come our way.
- Let us look at Acts 21:37, As Paul was about to be taken inside he said to the commander, “May I have a word with you?” “Do you know Greek? The commander asked surprised. Like Paul, we may have to use our wits to take advantage of an opportunity and so you should know what your strengths are, what your talents are, what your giftings are, so that when opportunities open you will be able to use them and make the most of the opportunity that the Lord has given.
Several principles about how to make the opportunities that come.
- Respond with courage and faith in God when opportunities arise.
- Seize opportunities to do good even when you are experiencing personal hardship.
- Be willing to change your plans in order to take advantage of an opportunity.
- Like Paul, use you wits to take advantage of an opportunity.
Ang sabi sa Matthew 24:29: “To those who use well what they are given even more will be given and they will have an abundance, but for those who are unfaithful even what little they have will be
taken away.” Are opportunities knocking on your door today? How will you respond? Respond with faith and with courage.
Be a blessing in the workplace today.
