Who says that the Bible is irrelevant and boring? Think again! It is the most relevant, fascinating and practical resource that we could ever use for day to day living. It is so rich with insights and tips about practically everything.
You want financial advice? God's Word can provide you that. From a single chapter in Proverbs, look at the financial tips that I gathered.
1) Right view about money
Proverbs 11: 4 "Riches won't help on the day of judgment, but right living is a safeguard against death." This gives us the right perspective about money. It is not the end all and be all of life. Money is important but it is not for eternity.
2) Warning about co-signing a loan
Proverbs 11:15 "Guaranteeing a loan for a stranger is dangerous; it is better to refuse than to suffer later."
3) Why bad money is not to be envied
Proverbs 11:18 "Evil people get rich for the moment, but the reward of the godly will last." Don't envy someone who gets rich because of doing what's wrong. Better is the reward awaiting the godly because it is for eternity.
4) Losing is gaining
Proverbs 11:24 "It is possible to give freely and become more wealthy, but those who are stingy will lose everything."
5) There is wealth in giving
Proverbs 11:25 "The generous prosper and are satisfied; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed."
