Quick update...
One night after being blanked by Bowling Green, Chad Langlais scored
in the second period assisted by Danny Fardig to give Michigan a 1-0
shutout at Bowling Green tonight and split the weekend series.
The Wolverines certainly had to work for a goal this weekend as they
threw another 39 shots on goal tonight. Carl Hagelin had a goal
waived off late in the game.
Billy Sauer got his first start since the loss at Wisconsin during the
College Hockey Showcase and turned aside 19 shots. The offense once
again didn't provide much, but good for him to get the victory and the
shutout. After all he has been through this season, it's well deserved.
I guess the question now is are we back to a two goalie rotation or is
Hogan still the starter?
The Wolverines face a familiar foe next weekend as Friday night they
face Michigan State at Joe Louis Arena, then finish the season series
Saturday night at Yost Ice Arena.

TURCO STOPS JOHNSON FOR WIN
---------------------
The Dallas Stars defeated the Los Angeles Kings tonight, 3-2, in a
shootout that saw former Wolverine netminder Marty Turco stop former
U-M defenseman Jack Johnson on the deciding attempt. Turco turned
aside all three shots he faced in the shootout.
It was also Johnson's first game since October 12 when he suffered a
shoulder injury and missed 41 games. The original estimate had him
out until after the All-Star Game.

That's all for now...
