NEW POLLS
The latest USCHO and USA Today polls are out and Michigan is ranked #2
in both of them.
The Miami RedHawks, who swept #3 Michigan State this past weekend,
solidified their ranking in the USCHO poll by taking 48 of 50 first
place votes. Michigan received the other two first place votes.
In the USA Today poll, the RedHawks leapfrogged the Wolverines to
reclaim the #1 spot.
Denver and Colorado College are ranked #3 and #4 respectively in both
polls. Michigan State and North Dakota take the next two spots, with
the Spartans ranked #5 in the USCHO poll and #6 in the USA Today poll.

HUNWICK RECALLED
--------------------
Former Wolverine captain Matt Hunwick has received his second call up
to the Boston Bruins after an injury to Andrew Ference. He played 13
minutes in Saturday's 7-4 loss to Montreal and had a minus-2 rating.
"He's played well for us," said coach Claude Julien. "He's played
extremely well in Providence. We've lost Ference here for a little
bit. We thought Matt should be part of the team and he was deserving
to be here. That's why we called him up."
Hunwick made his NHL debut Nov. 10 in a 2-1 win over Buffalo. He saw
15 1/2 minutes of ice time and played a very solid game according to
reports. He was sent back to Providence after the game, where has
recorded four assists and four penalty minutes in 11 games.
