Quick update...
Michigan 4, Northeastern 3 (ot)
It wasn't pretty at all, but Michigan escaped Yost Ice Arena with a
4-3 overtime win over Northeastern. The Wolverines took several bad
penalties and Northeastern capitalized on them.
Michigan got out to an early 1-0 lead on a power play goal by David
Rohlfs that was setup beautifully by T.J. Hensick. Porter got the
other assist.
And then the trouble began. The Wolverines took three penalties in a
row, allowing the Huskies to score on a 5-on-3 to tie the game.
In the second period, Porter would score on the power play at 4:02 to
retake the lead. Hensick picked up his second assist of the night.
And then it was right back to the box for the Wolverines...several
times. The Huskies would score twice--first with a one-man advantage
then with a two-man advantage--to take a 3-2 lead.
But with 4.2 seconds left in the second period, Tim Miller caused a
turnover and Chad Kolarik scored a huge goal to tie the game.
A scoreless third period ended with the Huskies taking a penalty with
under a minute left. That would carry over to overtime and Porter
would redirect a shot by Jack Johnson on the power play to give
Michigan the victory.

That's all for now...
