BLUE-WHITE GAME
The annual Blue-White intrasquad scrimmage takes place this Saturday at Yost Ice Arena. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and the puck drops at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for students with ID, and $3 for children 12 and under.
Following the game will be your chance to meet the players and get autographs at Skate with the Wolverines. You can bring your own skates or you can rent them at Yost for $2.
LUCKY NUMBER 7
U.S. College Hockey Online has released their preseason poll
and the Wolverines are ranked 7th with two first-place votes.
Defending national champion Wisconsin starts the season at the top followed
by Boston College, Minnesota, Boston University, Michigan State, and North
Dakota.
Miami University is right behind Michigan to give the CCHA three teams in the Top 8 before a drop off with Ohio State being the next conference team to appear at No. 17.
DEKERS TAILGATE PARTY
The third annual Dekers Tailgate Party will take place Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Michigan Outdoor Track across from Yost between 5:30-7 p.m. prior to the home game against Connecticut. Tickets are $8 for members and $10 for nonmembers. If you'd like to attend, you must send in your order form by Oct. 11. I have attached the form to this update and you can also download it at MichiganHockey.net.
THE RED BERENSON SHOW
Just a short FYI that the Red Berenson Show will return to WTKA starting Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 6:15 p.m. You can apparently listen to WTKA live on their website at http://2005.wtka.com/pages/listenlive.html (though it isn't working for me right now). Since Clear Channel took away my permission to archive the shows, they will not be available on my website this season, however if I am able to catch the show I will try to post a recap.
That's all for now...
Go Blue!
