Last night's Red Berenson Show is now available for download on MHNet. This week he talks about the split against Lake Superior State, answers fan questions including one on possibly doing another outdoor hockey game, and looks at the huge weekend series at Nebraska-Omaha. The Mavs have been red hot since the start of the second half of the season and moved into a fourth place tie in the CCHA and 5th in the PairWise Rankings (U-M is 8th in the PWR).
The Wolverines currently sit in second place in the CCHA with 29 points, one point ahead of Michigan State and three points ahead of Lake Superior State and Nebraska-Omaha. All teams have now played 24 games, so if the Wolverines fall behind they don't have any games in hand to fall back on and play catch up.
Meanwhile, the race for the CCHA regular season title came to an end last night as Miami defeated Ohio State, 6-3, to give the RedHawks their first conference title since 1992-93.
Highlights of the LSSU game should be available later today on MHNet.
That's all for now...
Go Blue!
