Just a quick update from work...

Michigan scored early and scored often to crush Boston University 7-2 and salvage their weekend at the Lefty McFadden Invitational.

Thirteen Wolverines registered a point led by Milan Gajic's two goals, and Jeff Tambellini's goal and pair of assists

Chad Kolarik got the ball rolling 1:54 into the contest on the power play, and Matt Hunwick made it 2-0 just a minute later.

Tambellini picked up his first goal of the season at 5:34, and Brandon Rogers made it 4-0 at 7:20.

In the second period, more of the same. Gajic made it 5-0 just 3:42 into the period. David Rohlfs scored 52 seconds later to make it 6-0. And Gajic scored his second of the game at 8:36.

Pete MacArthur ended Al Montoya's bid for a shutout with two late third period goals.

Montoya finished with 30 saves. Karson Gillespie started the game for the Terriers and gave up all 7 goals and made 12 stops. John Curry replaced him in net and also made 12 saves.

Three stars of the game are Milan Gajic, Jeff Tambellini, and Matt Hunwick.

Michigan opens their home schedule with a big showdown against New Hampshire next Friday at Yost Ice Arena. Game time is 8:05pm ET and can be seen on CSTV.

That's all for now...
