Quick update from work...
Michigan 7, Bowling Green 3
Michigan continues to roll with a 7-3 drubbing of Bowling Green tonight at Yost. They extend their CCHA lead to three points over Miami, and with another victory tomorrow can make it five points with the RedHawks having a bye weekend.
The line of T.J. Hensick, Brandon Kaleniecki, and Milan Gajic continues to burn opponents. Kaleniecki led the way with two goals and two assists, while Hensick had a goal and three assists and Gajic had a goal and assist.
And this is not a typo, Jeff Tambellini scored! Tamby opened the scoring 6:53 into the contest on the power play. It's his 10th goal of the season and first goal since Nov. 8.
Al Montoya made 16 saves, while Noah Ruden played most of the third period and was a perfect 10-for-10. Montoya was sent to the penalty box after an early third period BGSU goal for roughing and given a 10-minute misconduct (not to be confused with a game-DQ, in which case he would have to sit out tomorrow).
And speaking of tomorrow, last regular season home game means Senior Night, so stick around after the game and support this year's small senior class!
That's all for now...
Go Blue!
