Quick update from work..

One streak ends, another begins for Al Montoya.

The Wolverine netminder recorded his nation-leading fifth shutout of the season tonight as U-M downs Lake Superior State, 4-0.

Michigan dominated LSSU from start to finish. Nick Martens, Milan Gajic, Brandon Kaleniecki, and David Rohlfs each scored.

I know that T.J. Hensick, Brandon Rogers, and Andrew Ebbett each had at least a pair of assists. Not sure who, if anyone, assisted on the final goal.

The Wolverines make the long flight to Alaska-Fairbanks next weekend. I'm sure we'll hear something in the media this week or next about Red and musk oxen.

In other CCHA news, Miami finished off the big sweep at Michigan State tonight to stay one point ahead of the Wolverines in the CCHA standings. Michigan still has two games in hand.
