Just a few notes heading into the holidays...
HUNWICK ADDED TO TEAM USA
Freshman defenseman Matt Hunwick has been added to Team USA's roster for
the World Junior Championships following an injury to Dylan Reese.
Hunwick joins teammate Al Montoya, who should get the nod in net after
Maine's Jamie Howard withdrew due to an injury as well. Michigan State
freshman goaltender Dominic Vicari has been added in his place.
And Jeff Tambellini has survived the cuts and will represent Team
Canada. Hopefully the sophomore can get out of his scoring slump as the
Wolverines will need to charge forward during the second half of play. He
hasn't scored for the Wolverines since Nov. 8 during a 3-2 victory over
Ferris State. The good news is that Tamby did score in an exhibition game
against Ontario the other night.
All three will miss the Great Lakes Invitational.

EX-BLACKHAWK MAGNUSON DIES
------------------------
In some sad news, former Chicago Blackhawk standout defenseman Keith
Magnuson was killed yesterday in a three-car crash near Toronto.
Police are still investigating but believe one car crossed over the center
median into oncoming traffic.
Magnuson was the father of former Wolverine defenseman Kevin Magnuson, who
graduated in 2000. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Magnuson family.
