The NHL Central Scouting Bureau has released their preliminary rankings for next summer's NHL draft and three Wolverines have made the list.
Freshman center T.J. Hensick is ranked 6th among North American college players. Hensick leads the Wolverines with 15 points on five goals and a team high 10 assists. He came into the program with a lot of high expectations, another 'real deal' type player, and he has not disappointed thus far.
Freshman defenseman Matt Hunwick is ranked 26th among NA college players. He has played solid on the blueline and has four assists in 12 games.
Sophomore goalie Al Montoya is the top ranked NA collegiate goaltender. No surprise there, and not much needs to be said.
North Dakota's Drew Stafford was the top ranked collegiate player, followed by Boston College's Adam Pineault, Notre Dame's Wes O'Neill, and Michigan State's A.J. Thelen and David Booth. Northern Michigan freshman forward Darin Olver was ranked 7th behind Hensick, so a good showing for CCHA players taking five of the top seven spots.

That's all for now...
