Just a quick update since I'm at work...
FERRIS STATE 6, MICHIGAN 5 (OT)
Ferris State scored in overtime to cap off a wild 6-5 victory.
Jeff Tambellini and T.J. Hensick each had two goals for U-M.
The Wolverines led 1-0 after the first period, then gave up five second-period goals. The Bulldogs led 5-4 heading into the third period.
In the final minutes of regulation, the Wolverines were a man down, but then FSU took a few penalties. Michigan pulled Montoya for two extra attackers and Eric Werner deflected a shot off an FSU defenseman past goalie Mike Brown to tie the game with 56 second left. FSU then went on to win it in OT.
A disappointing loss on the road. I would have settled for a tie after a terrible that second period breakdown.
The weekend series wraps up at Yost Ice Arena tomorrow night.
