Just a quick update...

MICHIGAN 3, QUINNIPAC 2

Quinnipiac seems to be able to do everything right against Michigan... except stop one player.

Jeff Tambellini netted all three goals as the Wolverines edged out the Bobcats for the second night in a row. Last night Brandon Kaleniecki carried the Wolverines with four goals.

U-M once again coughed up a 2-0 lead before Tambellini's completed the hat trick with the game winner midway through the third period.

After an unmotivated performance Friday night, the Michigan hockey team came out firing away against Quinnipiac. The problem they encountered tonight, however, wasn't their poor performance but a hot Bobcat goaltender.

Quinnipiac goalie Justin Eddy turned aside 51 shots to earn the game's No. 1 star, while the Bobcat offense was held to under 20 shots on goal.

The Wolverines return to CCHA action next weekend as they host the Northern Michigan Wildcats.

That's all for now...

Go Blue!
