HOCKEY GARAGE SALE

Get out your wallets and checkbooks!

The annual Hockey Equipment Sale will be held Saturday, April 19 at Yost
Ice Arena. Used and new equipment from the U-M ice hockey team will be on
sale to the public in the lobby beginning at 9 a.m. Cash and checks will be
the only forms of payment accepted, and all sales will be final.

And based on reports from fans from years past, if you really want the good
stuff, you better get there *really* early.

WHAT'S IN A NAME?

Impact!, NHL.com's online magazine, has an article titled "What's In A
Name?" looking at sons of former NHL stars trying to make their mark in
hockey. Wolverine forwards Eric Nystrom and Jeff Tambellini are the
primary focus of the article. You can read it at:

TURCO NHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

The NHL has named Dallas Stars goalie Marty Turco their co-Player of the
Week along with Colorado's Milan Hedjuk.

Turco led Dallas to first place in the Western Conference by posting a
3-0-0 record, a 0.33 goals-against average, .985 save percentage and two
shutouts. He started the week by shutting out the Buffalo Sabres 3-0 on
Mar. 31, and posted a 2-1 victory over the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim on Apr.
2. He closed the season with a 2-0 shutout win over the Nashville
Predators, securing first place in the Western Conference.

In 55 games this season, Turco posted a record of 31-10-10, 1.72
goals-against average and .932 save percentage. His League-leading 1.72 GAA
is the NHL's lowest since New York Rangers' goaltender Dave Kerr posted a
1.54 GAA in 1939-40, and breaks Tony Esposito's modern day record of 1.77 GAA.

That's all for now...

Go Blue!
