The sophomores stepped up as the Wolverines dominated the Mavericks, 6-1. Dwight Helminen and Eric Nystrom each had a pair of goals. Jason Ryznar had a goal and assist, and Nick Martens finished off the scoring.
The victory clinches home ice advantage for the CCHA tournament.
On top of that, Alaska Fairbanks topped Ohio State, 4-1, tonight. That will help move U-M into second place, which is about the best they can do right now. Ferris State is too far ahead and doesn't have much in the way of a tough opponent to finish the regular season. Michigan will have to prove themselves in the CCHA tournament.

MHNet somewhat back online and E-Mail update
I've switched hosts and uploaded most, but notall, of the website. I have to spend some time fixing and cleaning up the site before it will be fully operational again.
My e-mail address (jasonpaul@...) is working again, so you can contact me there.
For those of you that had an @michiganhockey.net e-mail address and want it back, send me an e-mail with the username you had (or want) and I will setup your account again. Anyone else that wants a free @michiganhockey.net e-mail address, just contact me with the username that you want. The nice part is you can either download your e-mail using a POP e-mail program such as Eudora Pro or Outlook Express, or you can now check your e-mail online (much like Hotmail).

KOMISAREK DEBUTS
If you missed it, Mike Komisarek made his NHL debut the other night for the Montreal Canadians. Komo played 16 minutes, had two shots on goal, and was an even plus/minus. Most accounts have said he didn't look out of place for his first NHL game.

TURCO UNCUT
ESPN's Dan Patrick did an interview with former Wolverine goalie Marty Turco.
Speaking of Turco and the Stars, Bubba Berenzweig has joined him in Dallas. The Stars traded for the former Wolverine defenseman, who had his rights owned by Nashville.
