CAMMALLERI SIGNS WITH KINGS
LOS ANGELES (CP) -- The Los Angeles Kings have agreed to terms on a
multi-year contract with forward Michael Cammalleri, the former world
junior star for Canada deciding to forego his senior year at the University
of Michigan.
Defenceman Mike Komisarek signed with Montreal on Wednesday, leaving the
Wolverines after only two years.
Cammalleri, 20, led Michigan with 23 goals despite playing only 29 games
last year. His 44 points also were second on the team. He was a
co-recipient of the Hal Dowes Trophy, awarded annually to the Wolverines'
most valuable player, despite missing 15 of 17 games while recovering from
mononucleosis.
The Kings drafted Cammalleri 49th overall in 2000. The native of Richmond
Hill, Ont., played for the silver medal winning Canadian national junior
team in January where he was named the tournament's top forward after
scoring seven goals and adding four assists in seven games.

Well, we still got two more days this week...what else will happen? Ugh.
That's all for now...
Go Blue!
