NHL DRAFT
The NHL Draft takes place this weekend. Eric Nystrom has been getting
a lot of good press and should be a mid-to-late first round pick,
though an article in the Calgary Sun suggested he could go even
higher. ESPN2 will be broadcasting the draft beginning at 1 p.m. ET.
SPORTS DISASTERS II
For any hockey fighting fans out there, The Learning Channel has been
broadcasting a program calling Sports Disasters II for the past week.
There's a segment involving some of the best fights/moments in hockey
from college to the pros. I know there was an old Michigan vs.
Michigan State clip shown (I only caught the very end of the clip, so
not sure what it was).
Sports Disasters II is actually being shown right now from 8-9 p.m. ET
for anyone who reads this e-mail within the next few minutes. It will
also be rebroadcast tonight from 11pm-Midnight.
ROBBIE EARL COMMITS
In some older news for those who haven't heard, U.S. National Team
Development Program forward Robbie Earl has verbally committed to the
Maize n' Blue.
The Los Angeles native would be the Wolverine fifth recruit for the
fall of 2003, and the fourth from the National Team Development Program.
The 5-foot-11, 162-pound left winger is said to possess blazing speed.
This past season he was fourth in scoring for the NTDP Under-17 Team
with 22 goals and 16 assists in 58 games.

That's all for now...
