Re: [ultralightbiking] A couple of links

I did a semi-supported hut to hut ride from Telluride to Moab about 10 years ago. All we had to take along was our sleeping bags and whatever clothing we needed. The sponsors were supposed to have food stashed at each hut but they missed a couple which made for some very unhappy campers.

Here's a guy doing the ultralight thing. If anyone knows him send
him an invite to this list.

Scott Morris and Mike Cuirak did a portion of the Colorado Trail.
Here is Scott's write up.

I hope to do a fall solo dirt road tour right from my front door to
somewhere around Telluride. I have a route planned that would be
less than 10-20% paved. Mostly forest road along with a couple of
high CO passes. It will be on the cross bike. Things are so busy
(my own fault!) that I'm not too sure I can fit it in but it's very
high on my list of things to do before the snow flies. Another is to
ride the White Rim Trail in a day. I planned to last year and was
unable to make it work.
