I've thought of this too. Do you have any photos of it? My concern
would be how stable it is off road and the bag getting into the
wheel. Maybe with some corroplast stiffeners on the sides of the
rack to keep things clear of the wheel. If I could get my Golite
Breeze pack stable and secure on the rear rack it would open up lots
of fun hike and bike opportunities.

I weighed a few things tonight. Some surprises for me. Avenir rear rack- 1 lb 1 ounce. This is a very basic rack. It looks like a Blackburn Mountain rack.....

What I liked about the dry bags was cheap (15$US each), light (10oz. for big heavy duty ones, 3oz. for smaller lighter ones) and super tough. They were great...
